About

Meet the therapist.

Dr. Karlene Barrett is very comfortable working with a client whose faith is important to them. The Clinician’s intake process includes questions regarding potential client’s faith, religion, or spirituality. The Clinician identifies as a Protestant who is very active in their faith tradition and is comfortable sharing their own spiritual beliefs in sessions to assist in the therapeutic process as appropriate. The Clinician is open to incorporating holistic practices in therapy sessions with client’s consent or request depending on the appropriateness of the situation.

Faith and care

Their approach to faith.

“I believe in the intrinsic value of every human life, and that there is always hope in challenges we face. Faith is an avenue to support mental well-being. My firm belief is that there’s always hope, that impossibilities can become possibilities, and that we should keep moving towards our dreams.”
