I have been privileged to provide outpatient mental healthcare as a professional counselor for over a decade. My belief in the innate worth and dignity of every person is the foundation of my work. I delight in who my clients are as they are. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, with the intent that my unconditional positive regard for clients would create a space where they feel safe to be seen and accepted. It is my pleasure to give clients my time, care, and attention. It is brave to share one's self and seek support; I do not take lightly the responsibility of a client's trust and vulnerability. I graduated with my Masters in Counseling from UW-Whitewater in 2012, and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Wisconsin (#7253-125). I am curious and always learning something new! I have received continuing education in treatment modalities and areas such as Integrated Complex Trauma Treatment, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Self-Compassion and Shame Resolution, Affair Recovery, Betrayal Trauma, Written Exposure Therapy, and Forgiveness.
My Christian beliefs are like ‘the prescription in the glasses I wear’ to see and understand everything I encounter. It compels me to treat everyone with dignity, compassion, and humility. It gives me hope to receive the generous promises of a faithful God. If you don’t ascribe to Christian beliefs, please know I am motivated by love and I will respect you wherever you are in your spiritual journey. We can incorporate spirituality as much or as little as it fits for you!
