JoAnne Singh is very comfortable working with a client whose faith is important to them. The Clinician’s intake process does not include questions regarding potential client’s faith, religion, or spirituality. Clinician identifies as a Non-Denominational Christian who is active in their faith tradition and is comfortable sharing their own spiritual beliefs in sessions to assist in the therapeutic process as appropriate. The Clinician is open to incorporating holistic practices in therapy sessions with client's consent or request including mindfulness, prayer, scripture, meditation, and bibliotherapy including faith, religious, or spiritual books/literature.
“I graduated from a Christian graduate school, called Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and learned how to incorporate my Christian faith into my practice. I meet my clients where they are and therefore if they are not Christian then I only mention aspects of the Christian faith at a very minimal level if at all. If the client is Christian and I feel led to incorporate scripture, prayer, and Biblical principles/examples to assist in the counseling process I will do so.”
