Azizah McEntire is very comfortable working with a client whose faith is important to them. The Clinician’s intake process does not include questions regarding potential client’s faith, religion, or spirituality. The Clinician’s identifies a Christian who is very active in their faith tradition and is very comfortable sharing their own spiritual beliefs in sessions to assist in the therapeutic process as appropriate. The Clinician is open to incorporating holistic practices in therapy sessions with client's consent or request including mindfulness and honoring the client’s belief system and utilizing that to support the therapeutic process.
“My faith affect my view of my practice because I believe that anything is possible. I work with people from all walks of life and some come to see me as their last hope. While they might not believe change is possible, I believe it and that is necessary to do the work.”
