About

Jacqueline Stevens is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, proudly owning MindFullyMe Wellness, a private mental health practice located in Stratford, CT. Her practice is dedicated to empowering individuals and families. Having grown up in New York City’s foster care system and group homes, Jacqueline’s experiences with trauma and instability have given her a profound understanding of the transformative power of connection, healing, and faith. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy with a minor in Business from Rosemont College, Jacqueline spent a decade thriving in corporate America at companies like MasterCard, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte. However, her own struggles with untreated trauma, depression and anxiety led her to confront the long-held stigmas and shame surrounding mental health. In her 30s, Jacqueline sought therapy for the first time. Through self-reflection and mindfulness, she made meaningful changes, which inspired her transition into a career in clinical social work. Jacqueline pursued advanced clinical training, earning a Master’s in Mental Health and Clinical Social Work from Sacred Heart University. She then worked at various private practices in Fairfield County and Connecticut’s only nationally accredited addiction treatment center, where she trained under leading clinical mentors. This experience deepened her passion for trauma-informed care, addiction treatment, and group therapy. Jacqueline’s clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based, insight-oriented practices, and lived experiences with a strong emphasis on narrative therapy. She believes that individuals are the experts of their own lives, and that maladaptive behaviors—particularly those linked to trauma and substance use—are often coping mechanisms rather than problems in themselves. By addressing the underlying issues, the external symptoms will also be resolved. Today, Jacqueline continues to help others navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions with compassion, dignity, and authenticity. A recipient of the Sacred Heart University Social Justice Award in May 2022 and an honorary doctorate from Rosemont College, where she also served as one of their May 2022 commencement speakers, Jacqueline remains a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, equity, and healing-centered practices in every space she serves.

Faith Integration Approach

In my practice, I blend my faith with a deep understanding of the power of connection, healing, and personal growth. I believe true healing comes when we nurture not just the mind and body, but the spirit as well. My faith guides me to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can be your most authentic self. I understand that faith, hope, and prayer are powerful tools in healing, and I welcome clients to explore how their beliefs can support their emotional and mental well-being. Through my own healing journey, I’ve seen how faith can provide strength and resilience. By integrating evidence-based practices with the Word of God—when requested—I help clients find peace, purpose, and authenticity in their lives.
